The Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter flew to Codgers Mountain Bike Park to rescue an injured
A mountainbiker was winched out of Codgers Mountain Bike Park after injuring his leg on Saturday.
Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Pilot Barry McAuliffe said at 4.25pm the helicopter was called out to the park after a 59-year-old Nelson male injured his lower leg after coming off his bike.
He was winched off the Top Dog Track and flown to Nelson Hospital.
Later that night, around 10.05pm, the helicopter flew to Golden Bay Community Health in Takaka to transfer a 31-year-old male to Nelson Hospital after a quad bike accident.
At 5.25am on Sunday, the helicopter flew to the Awatere Valley in Blenheim after a 22-year-old-male had been shot in the leg. He was flown to Nelson Hospital.
Police said the man was in a critical condition and there was nothing to suggest it was suspicious.
